Equations in Geometry completes the student's introduction to pre-algebra, as well as presents basic geometric concepts to prepare the student for geometry.  Throughout this book, the student will have to use equations to solve geometric problems (involving perimeter, area, and volume), which will lead to a better understanding of both equations and geometry.  The geometry in this book is basic, intended as preparation for a full-length geometry course; still, there is a separate chapter on triangles, and the Pythagorean Theorem is presented.  This will be useful for the future study of trigonometry, as well as for SAT math.  In addition to basic geometry, students are also introduced to probability and statistics, and to different systems of measurement and converting from one unit to another.

After completing this book, the student will be almost entirely ready for the SAT math section and definitely ready for Algebra I.
